Frans Johansson: The Secret truth about executing great ideas
Frans Johansson illustrates why groundbreaking innovators generate and execute far more ideas than their counterparts. I find it really refreshing to hear all these stories. And – that the very same failures in the long run lead the way to great success.

The benefits of failure

Words of wisdom from Jim Rohn
What we ponder and what we think about sets the course of our life. Any day we wish; we can discipline ourselves to change it all. Any day we wish, we can open the book that will open our mind to new knowledge. Any day we wish, we can start a new activity. Any day we wish, we can start the process of life change. We can do it immediately, or next week, or next month, or next year.We can also do nothing. We can pretend rather than perform.
And if the idea of having to change ourselves makes us uncomfortable, we can remain as we are. We can choose rest over labor, entertainment over education, delusion over truth, and doubt over confidence.
The choices are ours to make. But while we curse the effect, we continue to nourish the cause. As Shakespeare uniquely observed,”The fault is not in the stars, but in ourselves.”
We created our circumstances by our past choices. We have both the ability and the responsibility to make better choices beginning today.

Self-Respect
Today I found a nice blogpost by Tejvan Pettinger at PickTheBrain.com.
Here is a teaser, the introduction and the first 5 of the 10 very good tips. How to Develop Respect for Yourself
Self-respect is a fundamental for a great life. If we lack self-respect we will be insecure and strive to be someone we are not. To develop self-respect means to cultivate the self confidence to deal with whatever life throws at us. The following are some ways we can improve our self-respect. Remember, self-respect comes from an inner belief and not an egoistic feeling of superiority.1. Be True to Yourself
There is great social pressure from parents, work and society to become a certain person and to achieve certain things. It is a pressure hard to detach from. But, a real self-respect only comes from being true to our inner calling. It is important you have faith in your own values and remember what is important to you. Just because other people think you should behave in a certain way, doesn’t mean they are right. Everyone needs to follow their own path. Even if others don’t respect your decision it is important that you do. Just ask yourself whether you come into the world to please Tom, Dick and Harry or live your own life?
2. Learn to Handle Criticism
We are sensitive beings. Nobody likes criticism and when we are criticized, either directly or indirectly, we feel bad about ourself – even if the criticism is not justified. To maintain a sense of self respect, we need to learn how to deal with criticism. Don’t take criticism personally. Look at it from a detached perspective. Maybe it is false, in which case we should ignore it. If their is some truth, we can use it to develop our character. However, it is important not to take criticism too personally. Just because we are not very good at a particular task, doesn’t mean we need to lose our self respect.
3. Look After Your Appearance, Without Being a Slave to Fashion
Our appearance is important. It can give us confidence or it can make us feel awkward. Take care of our appearance; dressing smart for the right occasion gives us self confidence. At the same time, we don’t want to be the slave of fashion trends. Dress for your own benefit; don’t dress in the expectation of pleasing others and receiving complements.
4. Avoid Jealousy
Jealousy of other people’s success is a common way of losing our happiness and self respect. Jealousy is simply envy of other people’s success. We feel miserable that we cannot enjoy their success. Sometimes it can even lead us to knocking the other person. If we follow this path of jealousy we will definitely lose our sense of self respect. When we are constantly comparing ourselves to others, we are saying our self respect depends on being better than others. But, the truth is, there will always be some people more successful than ourself. The trick to lasting self respect is to be happy through others success. We should never feel that other people’s success in any way diminishes our self worth.
5. Remember your Motivation, Not Results
Sometimes we work with best of motives and the best of intentions only to be disappointed by the outcome. The problem is that we equate our self respect to outer displays of wealth, success and social standing. It is the nature of life, that things will not turn out as we hoped, but, it is a mistake to link our sense of self worth to the achievement of external targets. Self respect comes when we value our attitude to life and other people. Even if things go badly don’t lose your self respect. Work with the best of intentions and gain your self respect from that.Want to read the whole article? Click here!

Fear, Enthusiasm & Success
“Fear is nothing except a drain of energy and not a power unto itself. Trust in yourself, for therein lies the true power.”
~Lori Hard“Enthusiasm finds the opportunities, and energy makes the most of them.”
~Henry Hoskins“I couldn’t wait for success, so I went ahead without it.”
~Jonathan Winters -
Set your soul on fire

Problems – Solutions
Even when you’re thinking positive some problems feel very hard to solve. We may feel depressed and helpless when seeing all negativity and troubles in the world.
Time for some more positive thinking!I’ve recently cought myself worrying about lot’s of stuff, and sometimes it is very tricky to stay focused.
We often tends to see ourselfs like victims of all kinds of events causing us stress and discurage. If we realise that all things that ‘happens’ is neutral and that we give them meaning with labels as “good” or “bad”, then we could see the happening in an other perspective.
If we have the attitude to seek solutions and possibilities, many events would offer just that to us. But if we’re trouble-oriented we will only see the problems. What we focus at grows.
Use your problems to define what you DO want, and then focus on what you want, think it is possible and it will be! You will find the solution and see the possibility when it comes if your searching for it.
So don’t waste time with worries of how to solve problems, spend your time takeing care of opportunities!
When your problem feels overwhelming, just take one step at a time. Do what you can do and have trust that many small steps will take you all the way!
And while you’re at it; try to make each step as fun as possible, the road feels so much shorter then!Stay positive, stay focused, think globally, act locally.

To Be Successful, You Must Stay Motivated!
If you surveyed 50 people asking each their definition of success, chances are you would receive fifty different answers. Even so, there are certain steps everyone must follow in order to be successful. One of the most important is – staying motivated.
Do you have a new job? Have you started your own business? Are you in the process of earning a degree? Do you have the desire to lose weight? If one of these scenarios are a recent event in your life, you are probably still excited about the opportunity. That also probably means you are motivated, as well. Excitement and motivation, often, work hand in hand.
But, how do you stay motivated after several weeks or months have gone by? How do you maintain the same level of excitement that you had when you began your new adventure?
There are many things you can do to stay motivated. It is important to set aside a few minutes or more, each day, in an effort to keep your motivation level at its highest. There will be days that you may feel less motivated then usual. Let’s face it; we all have a bad day now and then. So, by doing all that you can to maintain a positive attitude, your “down days” will probably be few and far between.
Read a book. There are hundreds of books that have been written on the topic of motivation. Visit your local bookstore or library and browse the shelves. Ask the clerk or librarian for author and title recommendations. Both will be happy to help you.
If you have a busy schedule, don’t despair. Set aside 15 or 20 minutes each day. Even if you only read a few pages, during that time, it WILL help to keep you motivated. I do it and can attest to the fact that it really DOES work!
If you are in the process of achieving a goal such as weight loss or top salesperson, make a “dream board”. A dream board is a poster, of sorts. If a trimmer figure is your goal, cut out pictures of the new wardrobe you will someday buy.
If you dream of out-selling your peers, find pictures of your dream home or vacation destination… of the new car you would LOVE to drive. Make a collage with these pictures and hand it somewhere where you will see it each day.
There are many other things you can do to stay motivated. Believe in yourself. Stay healthy. Maintain a positive attitude.
You will be amazed at what you can achieve!Find out more about Mental Health at healthandfinesse.com

Having the IDEAL in life… Just imagine!
Ideal. It lives in your imagination and seeks to express itself in your life. Nurture your deal. Let it breathe in your soul.
You can always be an idealist by believing in the plausibility and possibilities of imagination. Like John Lennon who said, “reality leaves a lot to the imagination,” be a dreamer.
Imagination revealed things in various science fiction stories never existing before that are today common place. Imagination fueled the work of Albert Einstein. Imagination makes hope and faith tangible.
We can create paradise on Earth. Want to live forever? Want to never get sickness or disease? Want to eradicate poverty? We’ll invent a way! For every problem there is a solution. We are inventing new things all the time, and at a more and more accelerated rate.
“If your mind can dream it and believe it, you can achieve it” is a popular saying. It reminds us that we have control and mastery. Can you dream? Can you believe? Of course we can. It’s child’s play!
Imagination lets you savor and have gratitude for every moment of your life and turns negatives into positives. Believing that everything happens for the greatest good makes everything an ideal situation. So you can always be in an ideal situation, thanks to your imagination.
Do you ever notice that we have a knack for creating our own truth? Do you see the truth of that situation? Ever notice how our prophecies and predictions get fulfilled? How expectations meet us at our level of expecting? Makes for good reason to expect the best!
Imagination can fill in all the places where we are lacking. So dream it to be it, that’s what thoughts are for. Who could ask for more?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. All of life can be beautiful if seen through the eyes of love. Our vision, as well as all our senses, are an extension of feeling. Feel love and you have what is called the rose colored-glasses effect. Something we create for ourselves with our idealist imagination.
Love is there when one only sees perfection. In such a state, it is easy to say that love is all that matters. It is the state of mind of poets, lovers, and dreamers. They practice the art of fantasy, play, discovery, and adventure.
Happiness can be found through creative expression. That is idealism in action. Reality is never static as it is always being shaped. We need not conform to stifling rules and boundaries. We need not be boxed in by limitation. Imagination has no limitation!
Our life is a product of our imagination. Expand your perception and you’ll find the world itself expands.
We are knowing and having more and more. We are also having more and more to look forward to. It is because we are growing and evolving. What will we evolve to be? Can we grow wings and fly to heaven? Or beyond?
What is ideal? We may not know yet, but will certainly come closer and closer to not only finding out, but growing into it as well. Use your imagination to think beyond the brink, feel it real, and boldly be. You will achieve the ideal.
